Aaron Squirrel, a native Oklahoman of Loyal Shawnee descent, has quickly established himself as one of the most talented instrumental guitarists in the state of Oklahoma.
Over the past three years the 21-year old guitar whiz has opened for Grammy-winning guitar legend Eric Johnson, instrumental rocker Johnny A, blues veteran Joe Bonamassa, Rolling Stone magazine's "Guitar God" Derek Trucks and, most recently, Grammy-nominated electric jazz pianist Jeff Lorber.
Before he was opening for some of the most prominent contemporary musicians, Aaron started out playing regional festivals and competitions. A recent concert review drew comparisons to fusion band Weather Report and, the late bluesy Alto Saxophonist Hank Crawford. Aaron continues to further his muscial aspirations at The Academy of Contemporary Music at the University of Central Oklahoma.
